An elegant ‘tear drop’ tavern clock, the 17” diameter wooden dial signed ‘Jas Howden, Edinburgh’, the weight driven square plated timepiece movement fronted by highly decorative pierced brass hands. protected by convex glass in a heavy moulded bezel with integral bezel lock. The mahogany case has a shaped removable door with a lock at the top, and a convex moulded foot.

An elegant small Victorian drop dial, the 7” diameter white dial signed ‘Lilley, Poole’, the fusee timepiece movement with offset winding arbour at 9.00 o’clock, fronted by steel hands. The mahogany case with turned dial surround has fine veneer with beaded borders to the trunk.

A Regency bracket clock, the 8” diameter convex iron dial signed ‘Willm. Gammon, Birmingham’. The three train fusee movement chiming the quarters on eight bells and the hour on a further bell, repeating at will, signed on the front plate Handley & Moore, and numbered 2672, the backplate with border engraving. The round top single pad mahogany case has a carrying handle, fish scale side frets and three foliate frets to the fully opening front door, revealing a further fret and a ‘silent / chime’ lever at 12 o’clock. It sits on brass bracket feet. Height (excluding handle) – 18”.

A rare and impressive Georgian gallery clock, the 32”  black lacquer octagon wooden dial with cushion edge moulding, gilt chapter and Roman hour and Arabic five minute numerals, and delicate floral decoration. The five pillar fusee movement with original anchor escapement, in a possibly later oak back box, fronted by matching brass hands, the minute hand counterbalanced.

A top quality late Victorian wall timepiece, the 12” diameter painted flat iron dial signed ‘Thwaites & Reed, Clerkenwell’. The fusee movement is numbered 15059 – dating it to 1886. The oak case has a turned surround and one side and one rear access door, and a cast brass bezel.

The very elegant round top mahogany case has fish scale sound frets, sea shell ring handles, and ebony raised beading inlay, and sits on brass ball feet.

A classic Regency bracket clock, the 6” diameter convex painted iron dial signed ‘Brooks, Lynn’ (King’s Lynn, Norfolk). The double fusee movement signed and numbered on the front plate ‘Handley & Moore’, striking on a bell with pull repeat and strike / silent lever, has border engraving to the backplate. The round topped mahogany case has ‘greek key’ motif brass inlay to the apron, fishscale side frets, and sits on brass ball feet.

A fine eighteenth century wall timepiece, the 12” diameter engraved silvered brass dial signed ‘Bouffler London’ in a fine flowing script, with Roman hour indicators and Arabic five minute, numerals, together with an inner circle inside the hour figures. The original verge movement has tapered plates and is fronted by matching pierced steel hands. The dial is held in the case with four pinned pillars running through the dial surround.  The mahogany case has a heavily moulded dial surround, containing a spring lock to the moulded brass bezel, and a lower salt box projection.
