A good early Victorian stick barometer and thermometer with an engraved brass scale and pointer protected by a hinged door, the mahogany case with feather banding decoration, and the turned cistern cover with boxwood inlay.

Francis Molton is recorded working as an optician and clockmaker in Dove Street, Norwich, from 1830 to 1842
