A very well proportioned Georgian tavern clock by these distinguished makers, with a 20” diameter wooden dial, brass hands, the minute counterbalanced,  and a mahogany case with fine flame mahogany veneer to the door.

Daniel Desbois was apprenticed to John Johnson at this address, and took over his business and worked here from c. 1790, to 1846, dying two years later in 1848.
