Hunter London, the fusee movement with original verge escapement and ‘A’ shaped plates in a one-piece mahogany case with a lower salt box projection, a heavy moulded brass concave bezel, with integral lock.

An elegant Geirgian bracket clock, the 6” diameter painted convex dial signed ‘G.P.Todé, 248 Regent St London’, with the backplate of the movement similarly signed, and numbered 321. The movement has rounded top plates, and is fronted by matching elegantly pierced hands, and strikes on a bell. The unusual mahogany waisted case has very fine leaf carving decoration, is topped by an unusual style of poppy head finial, and has a delicately tooled bezel.

A small drop dial wall timepiece, the 8” diameter convex iron dial signed ‘Frodsham Gracechurch Street London’.The fusee movement has nicely shaped plates, and is fronted by matching steel hands. The one piece mahogany case has restrained brass inlay to the square based trunk, a rear access door, and a cast brass bezel.

A unique drop dial wall timepiece with passing hour strike on a gong. The 12” diameter silvered engraved brass dial signed ‘Widenham & Adams, Lombard Street, London’, and with the Latin motto ‘RESPICE FINEM’ in place of hour numerals. This can be loosely translated as ‘consider the end’ - a moralistic motto adopted by several colleges and institutions. The case with glazed pendulum aperture, is profusely decorated with baroque swags, and is most remarkably surmounted by a depiction of Satyr and Satyress pouring presumably wine from an amphora.
